Lake Chuzenji is a beautiful lake created 20,000 years by the lava flow from the extinct volcano Mount Nantai. It’s water is drained through the nearby Kegon Falls. With Mount Hangetsu as the backdrop, Lake Chuzenji forms a stunning scenery and is an attraction not to be missed.
After viewing the gorgeous Kegon Falls, it started to drizzle. We hasten our steps toward the nearby town to look for a hiding place.
Our stomachs started to growl again and lucky for us, restaurants were everywhere. We decided to settle down at one of the eateries. We had a hard time trying to order our food as the store keeper knew little english. Well, it was twice lucky for the 3 dudes as I, Hot dude, studied elementary Japanese before. Using my ‘broken’ japanese, I finally managed to get food on our table. Phew!

It was thrice lucky for the 3 dudes! As soon as we had our fills, the rain stopped. Lake Chuzenji, here we come! ^_^
Well, that sort of wrapped up our fascinating trip in Nikko. It’s a pity we didn’t have enough time to visit the Akechidaira Plateau. Maybe next time. Farewell Nikko, we’ll meet again.
