Nikko vs Hakone, a tough choice right? Nikko is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites where the mignificent Nikko Tosho-gu, Futarasan Shrine and Rinno-ji stand and Hakone is a great place to visit the beautiful ice-capped Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi. And the winner is… Nikko!
Well, the cute dude insisted going to Nikko as there is more room to show off his photography skill in Nikko as Nikko merges tradition with mother nature. Cool dude and I had no strong objection (since he’s our main camera dude =p).
We had to drag ourselves from our cosy beds at 5:00am in the morning to catch the first train to Nikko. Before that, we had to answer to our growling stomachs. Off we go to the nearby 24/7 Seiyu supermart to purchase our japanese breakfast, the renowned Bento!

There were sooooo… many varieties of Bento to choose from and how we wish we can get them all. =p

After gazing cluelessly at the Bentos’ for 15 mnutes, we finally settled for the Tuna and Tempura Bento accompanied with warm coffee in bottle. Well-equiped with our breakfast goodies, we are on our way to the Tobu Asakusa station.
We waited for the Limited Express SPACIA booth to open at 7:00am to purchase the tickets for the first train to Nikko arriving at 7:30am. After purchasing the train tickets, we awaited enthusisatically for our train to destination paradise.
