Why The Hell Did We Choose To Go To Tokyo?!

Ok, I’m not gonna tell u smthg like “Woooh, cause it’s the most beautiful place on the face of the Earth”. In fact, it’s be one of the last few places I would think of going cause it’s so ex (I’m kinda stingy, ya noe..) The air tic is expensive, food is expensive, the transport is expensive…
To tell you the truth, the real reason behind our trip is our youngest brother (the chubiest of us all). He was heading back to the US for military training and wanted to make a transit to tokyo for a few days. Best of all, the air tic’s free! That’s why he asked us to tag along.
The other reason is that the cherry blossom blooming season was around the corner, and we wanted to take this opportunity to view this spectacular event that all Japanese are crazy about.

Can I just ask how much did you spend during your trip? Not including accomodation and air flight I guess, but just the general travelling around and meals and visiting atttractions! Thanks for your help!

Well, I’ve spent around S$1.6K while I was in Tokyo for the 5 days and 4 nights. My advice is try to budget a little more than what you expect to spend over there, because prices in Japan are really quite high (especially taking the cab!)…

Hmmm…$1.6k is higher than I expected. I was budgeting for less than 1k for 7 days, not inclusive of flight and accommodation *laugh* guess I’ll have to save a bit more by the end of this month!
Oh, another thing, when did you go to the japan embassy? I checked their website and it says they’re closed on weekends and after 4.30pm on weekdays and I’m working so there’s no other time I can go. I really want to get some maps of tokyo.
